Rosso di Montalcino

The Canalicchio di Sotto company of Lambardi came out with its first vintage of wine in 1978 with Brunello 1973, but already there are traces of the estate as a vine plot in the Catasto Leopoldino of 1835.

The Brunello production scene is located in the slope north-east of the hill of Montalcino in the ideal cradle of the historic wine; in fact, the company borders the lands that once belonged to the Biondi Santi family.

From their own vineyards they produced the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, the Rosso di Montalcino DOC, a red wine and a small amount of Sant’Antimo Bianco DOC; moreover, the excellent extra virgin olive oil is produced with the frantoio, leccino and moraiolo varieties.
