Argione

Colour: Impenetrable garnet red
Bouquet: Wild berries and black fruits, dried flowers, anise, licorice, black cherry in alcohol with a spicy and earthy finish of walnuts and hazelnuts. Over time, it develops airy and spicy scents with pepper, cinnamon and cardamom, tobacco and nutmeg.
In the Mouth: Dense, warm, spicy, full of chocolate notes, with powerful tannins and a curious liquorice root finish.
Pairing: A great wine that is at its best with important meat dishes, stews, Argione braises, smoked dishes, game and duck sauces. Excellent with mature cheeses. Try the Argione risotto.
