Heritage Selection Estate

Our Heritage Selection Estate Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the depth and complexity of our vineyard’s 16 different heritage clones. Fruit-forward, opulent and dense, our winemaker has an extensive palette of unique flavors from across our vineyard from which to choose. Each of the 20 micro-blocks are vinified individually from harvest to barrel. With 11 different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine exhibits inimitable layers of complexity that are unique to Gemstone Vineyard. 

The 2017 Heritage Selection is bold and luscious, with dark cherry, huckleberry, and blackberry fruit across the palate. Notes of vanilla, spice and mocha add to the complexity. The finish is long and silky with elegant tannins that will support aging beautifully for the next 20+ years. 

VINTAGE 

Abundant winter rains refreshed groundwater supplies and led to a cool, mild spring, followed by warm summer temperatures and beautiful ripening for an early harvest in late September. The 2017 vintage is opulent, velvety, concentrated, dense and possesses layers and depth.
